Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Rural Development, has stated that the 7.3 – metre – wide Ladejobi – Ita Ajele Road in Ikorodu Local Government flagged – off by the Lagos State Government recently, will be completed in 6 months.

The 360 – metre road project approved for construction by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, through the Office of Rural Development, is aimed at boosting connectivity and stimulating economic growth within the community.

According to Dr Agbaje on his Facebook handle on Wednesday, the project was officially launched on October 9, 2025, describing it as yet another testament to the Sanwo-Olu administration’s unwavering commitment to rural infrastructure and community development.

The 7.3-metre-wide road will feature asphalt surfacing, covered drainage channels on both sides, and solar-powered streetlights to enhance safety and aesthetics.

Speaking with THE IMPACT, Dr. Agbaje said that the road when completed would compliment the Pashokun Street that link Gbaseo and Oriwu Roads was its reconstruction was facilitated by Rep. Babajimi Benson. the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Expected to be completed within six months, the Office appealed to residents to support the contractors and cooperate fully to ensure the project’s smooth and timely execution.
